Warratina Lavender Farm

Updated: Feb 28, 2022

Warratina Lavender Farm is situated in Wandin in the beautiful Warburton Valley, about 1 hour’s drive from Melbourne. The farm welcomes visitors all year round and offers to you not only the opportunity of seeing a well kept lavender farm & breathing in the fresh country air but also a delightful Gift Shop where you can leisurely browse through the extensive range of lavender products manufactured at Warratina.

Eighteen years ago Annemarie had an idea about growing a small plot of lavender as a hobby.

The hobby grew and after many steep learning curves, Annemarie's enthusiasm, energy and passion for what she was doing, has turned the hobby into a full time business.

Annemarie's learning curve has taken her through many challenging and sometimes embarrassing exercises in how to...

  • manufacture product

  • present & label product

  • keep records

  • market to both retail and wholesale customers, and internationally

  • do presentations at major exhibitions throughout Australia

  • use computer & internet

  • create seminar presentations to schools, garden clubs, activity groups, tourism bodies and many others

From humble beginnings Warratina Lavender Farm is now able to give to the public a wonderful opportunity to enjoy regional fare in the Café, browse in the Gift Shop, & wander along the lavender rows in a tranquil & rural setting.

Attached to the Gift Shop is the Tea Room where the friendly staff will explain to you all about lavender in food & give you the opportunity of enjoying lavender scones, lavender ice-cream & lavender blended teas. It is not difficult to spend a couple of hours relaxing at Warratina under the peppercorns in the warm weather & in the cosy Tea Rooms in the cooler months.

Wedding Ceremonies have become very popular. These are held in the private homestead garden & details can be viewed on the website under Weddings.
